When you enter employee labor hours on a work order in the "work orders" area, you are given the option of dividing the time across all equipment on the work order.

When using Batch Work Order Quick Update to enter employee time on work orders, is there anyway to apply all time across all equipment on the work order, either by default or by selecting it as an option?

Thanks.

Hello Giant OCR,

I am an Mp2 consultant. You can divide labor hours among equipment on the batch work order form. From the Mp2 menu bar, select "Activities/Work orders/Quick work order update."

Enter the equipment or location that was worked on. In the labor section enter the person who did the work and the number of hours involved. On the far right corner you will see a button called "Divide labor hours across equipment."

Click on the button and Mp2 will verify that you want to do this. Select Yes, and Mp2 then dvidies the labor hours among equipment

(i.e. if you had a total of ten hours with two machines, after clicking on the Divide button, each machine will have 5 labor hours. Click on each machine in the equipment line- you will see that each has 5 labor hours.

If you have more questions, feel free to send me an email at jennifer_ohl@yahoo.com with your contact information.

Good luck!
P.S. I'm not sure which version you are running (the above instructions work for all versions) Datastream just released a patch for the Mp2 Access 2000 program- ACC0501115. If you are runing MP2 6.0 SQL, the most recent patch is SQL050915. If you have Mp2 Oracle, the most recent patch is ORA050115.

Hi Jennifer,
What do you know about Datastream not supporting MP2 after this year as part of their desire to migrate all customers to 7i? I am currently running version 5 and am not sure I want to go to 7i. Any thoughts? I'll send you my contact info via e-mail as I don't expect you to do much consulting for free.
Thanks
