One of my customers recently asked me this question and I wanted to share the info with you...

You can order non-stock items in Mp2 via the wizard or the requisition/purchase order tables. In the item number field, type in the non-stock item you wish to order. (You will not be able to locate the item in your inventory database, since it is non-stock and does not exist in the database).

If your purchasing process involves using requisitions, approve the requisition and generate a purchase order. Receive the items from the purchase order.

Once the purchase order is closed, you will be able to view history for your non-stock item; however, there will not be an inventory record in the inventory table since it is a non-stock item.
