Hello,
we are using DSTM 7i with the calibration module. I am looking for some reports (if possible with the opportunity to export the data) which help in showing the calibration history. I found two of them: ORCAHI show the history of the calibration points of one object. Unfortunatly it show only measurements with deviations WRCALA shows all measurement points in all WO. But the data is ordered on WO. If I have an equipment with a lot of cal points, it's very bad to read. Due to system restrictions I have no chance to get on the DB to extract the calibration data and I won't be allowed to design any new report. Any ideas ? |

Crystal Reports is a low cost, widely used, safe and very versatile software reporting package. Using Crystal Reports you will be able to get the results you need.
If you cannot get access to the database, perhaps IT can make a Decision Support copy available for you to run your reports. Samples of Crystal reports on Datastream products are at: http://flemingtechnical.com/page3.html If you have any questions, please let me know. Regards Donal Donal Fleming flemingtechnical.com |

Guys,
How many organizations enter calibration data into a computer? There is an enormous amount of data collected and from what I see, no body uses a computer to store it... not good value for time. Sure the records are essential, but the data is not often used so most people just keep the records. I would question the very need to input the calibration data at all? @Donal
thanks for that hint. But the clue is that I can't access the database. So what data will CR try to evaluate ? Therefore my only way are internal reports. @Steve We are doing this. Actually double work, as we print out the WO, collect the data with paper and type it in. Further steps will use online data aquisition which reduces both the time required and data errors with the aquisition. This calibration data is very interesting to use and evaluate. At least if I could ... |

Maintiger,
If you have lots of calibration data in a database, then I am keen to learn what it tells you. You would know lots about how frequently instruments drift and how much and by what type - I imagine. I have always wondered about these rates but never had data to do any analysis. This leaves evaluation of companies calibration routines largely a gut feel. Could you tell us how much data you have?
