I'm using MP2 Access 2000, and I am trying to clean up the metering functions so w/o's will generate when tied to meters. My question is: how do meters accrue between PM tasks? If a task triggers every 200 hrs, what drives the 200 hrs? Do I need to input weekly readings?
I talked to Datastream awhile back, and they told me that quick work order update would not accrue the hours-that seemed to be correct.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bill,
you will need to update MP2 with meter readings on a regular basis.
You are correct, the Quick Work order update does not contain meter related fields.

You could use the Quick Meter Entry function (Activities -> Equipment-> Quick Meter Entry) in conjunction with a meter reading route.

Ensure that you read and update your meter readings at intervals that will not let you go too far past due.

Hope this helps,
Regards,

Thanks for the quick reply!
So, I could use either the quick meter update, or manually enter the readings on the meters tab in equipment? Do I need to populate the avg.
meter/units/day in Equipment?

You can also update meter readings when entering other Work Order data from Activities-Work Orders->Work orders, Click on the Equipment and Details tab and then on the Meters tab.

The Avg meter units /day is just for reference

A common solution would be to obtain a handheld that has the ability to take your meter reading and provide real time updates to MP2.
