There is no standard MP2 feature, which will do this automatically, but here are a couple of ideas:
1) Trigger your PMs using meter readings.

2) Put the pumps into and out of service from the equipment module when the pump is physically put into or out of service. You could make this an additional step in the work order used to stop / starts the pump. This will stop “In Service (normal use)” tasks. Note you must reset the “Next Due” date for associated tasks when a piece of equipment is put back into service.

I’m going to work off of an assumption and correct me if I’m wrong. But the main assumption I’m going to make is that you do your PM based on time periods and not running hours or EOH’s.

The last time I have seen this done has been a while and I do not have my test environment on me at the moment. however the first steps I would take are as follows:

1. When you take the equipment offline take it offline in the asset tab also and enable it when it is “installed”
2. Check PM
3. Depending on what I see I would run more tests

The final result would be that once you identify the exact behavior of the program you can look at defining the process so that when you take one offline it puts the other one online automatically and modifies any fields needed via flex-sql if you are using that as your database or putting a trigger on the asset table that when that particular asset is updated to update the other asset to online and then modify a field in the PM’s to schedule the maintenance correctly.
