Most of my MP2 clients record downtime caused by maintenance issues using the Work Order downtime field. other dowmtime issues (material, personnel) are recorded by the relevant departments. Crystal Reports is then used to report equipment downtime.
Crystal Reports is a low cost ($200 per license) software package used widely to improve on MP2's reporting abilities. Crystal reports are consistant, easy and quick to run.

With Crystal 5.0 (the early 90's version) you can edit the work order to made it more readable and relevant.
After you buy Crystal, you can write your own reports or purchase them.
