As I installed a pump yesterday and removed the motor's fan shroud to verify rotation, it occurred to me that maybe those phase rotation testers are worth having around. Maybe. Do any of you folks use one? Are they worth having?

Hey for under $100, phase rotation testers are a pretty inexpensive tool - I like the ones that also indicate motor rotation:
