Ken:

Thank you very much. Yes, IEMD is the Institute of Electrical Motor Diagnostics, Inc. It is a collaboration of motor diagnostics end users and vendors with the intention of developing motor diagnostics certification (via ISO TC108/SC-5/WG10). The group has been working together for several years and made the decision to officially organize as a not for profit professional organization this year.

We have also been working in other areas of general motor systems interest, including a working collaboration with the US Department of Energy for development and training of MotorMaster and other US DOE motor system best practices.

The elected leadership include:

Vlad Djuric, Dofasco, President
Dave Humphrey, GM, Vice President
Dave Hamilton, Allied Reliability, Treasurer
Leo Dreisilker, Dreisilker Electric Motors, Secretary

I am the business manager and Executive Director.

Our founding members include: ALL-TEST Pro, Dofasco, Cargill and others, along with a number of individual founding members.

Please feel free to visit us at http://www.iemd.org.

Sincerely,
Howard

Josh:

That will be determined by the ISO committee which is working on the ESA materials now, and we represent the USA vote on the committee.

In the meantime, we are also working on developing new training for the US Department of Energy on MotorMaster Plus and International MotorMaster, and have set up meetings with EPRI for best practices that include the power industry. EPRI will be presenting to our group at the PDM-2006 conference where we will have our next open meeting.

Sincerely,
Howard
