Hi Everybody
can anyone tell what are the different methods for motor health testing other than the low voltage testing?
or how we can predict the motor health with other kind of testing?
Which one is the best tool worked for reliability ?
any reply, suggestion are most welcomed.

This is my two cents based on my research into the technologies of motor testing over the last few months.

Unfortunately, there are many interesting technologies for monitoring motor health. None of them will confirm with certainty any particular condition. Some technologies are better than others for finding certain problems but even then can miss problems in their area of proficiency.

To me this means that you really need to decide what type of problem you are normally encountering and then specifically find a piece of test equipment that is good at finding that sort of problem. You will also have to accept that even then you will not always find problems even days before failure.

Be prepared to spend a lot of money for each piece of test equipment. If you are looking to accurately find most impending faults in a motor then this is going to cost a small fortune in time and money. Ofcourse, Cost is really an issue of Return on Investment. If you are dealing with big machinery in important applications then the ROI should be almost bearable.

I hate to admit it but it is likely going to be the Chinese that will bring these technologies into the hands of those of us of lesser status.
