Just had a dc motor die, it was running ok till a shut down, then on start up it was tripping out. Motor was changed, feedback from motor repairer confirmed interpoles burn out- pictures looked like a turn to turn fault. What would cause this type of failure? It may have been subjected to couple of fully loaded starts?
