Hi Chaps,
This is a bit of topic, but if anyone knows the answer, they will be here. Years ago CSI had a very simple clamp on device for up to 1000 V motors, as a front end to the 2120 analyser, but wanted about $750 for what looks like a $20 item. Does anyone know the manufacturer of these tong testing devices or a similar low cost one ? Any info appreciated. |

It sounds as if you are referring to a current clamp for checking rotor bars.
Any current clamp with an voltage output will work. For example: http://us.fluke.com/usen/produ...me=FlukeUnitedStates Alternatively, any ct with a current output can be used simply by placing a 1 ohm resistor across the output leads. This will produce a voltage output. If you want a flexible clamp to incorporate a large bundle of feeds, you can try something like this: http://aemc.com/ go to FlexProbe |
