Hello to all.
I was reading over current unbalance for three phase induction motors, but I don´t found which is the % acceptance of unbalance. Someone can help me please, I must to define this % for a motor of compressor: Data motor is: 400 V Delta 160 A 90 KW 1480 RPM Is there some criteria or regulation defined for this? thanks a lot |

Other than the specific criteria of no more than 7% current unbalance by the NEMA MG-1 in a controlled testing environment, there are no specific standards that cover current unbalance that I am aware of. The primary issue that has been covered in most standards is voltage unbalance, in which the maximum unbalance is 5%, with the motor de-rated, and under 2% without de-rating the motor.
