That is a pretty serious accusation. Care to back it up with some facts?

Are you referring to the seller or eBay. I would believe eBay: I bid on a ford bronco and was notified that I was the winner bidder and it was posted as such the final second of the bidding and I got an E-mail verifying I had won and make arrangement to send the 7k$ to seller and 3 minutes later was notified I had lost the bid by $25.00. So, do I believe ebay is legit - no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too am curious as to why/how this is a fraud.

It is one of those "too good to be true" deals, but a 2120 with no reserve is an eye catcher.

Thanks

Sam,

I also contacted the seller and asked if this was true and got a reply asking if I was joking or a weirdo or what.

I had already referred them to this site and asked if they had seen it and to offer some explanation, but havn't gotten a reply from yesterday evening yet.

I suppose that this post could also be an effort to discourage bidding and swoop in at the last second. Maybe we will get some answers before this piece goes unsold.

Based on your Ford Bronco experience, can you really say that Ebay is not legitimate or just that they are not always accurate?

Danny

No body sells the legit equipment on the fast lane with no contact info. They aquire new ID on ebay post it in 3day listing and before the actual facts surface they are gone with the money. I even have a ups Tracking #electonically generated,no package was delivered to UPS. If anybody is interested I can send the pictures to their email. I can't post it here as the matter is under investigation. As for eBay they were fast enough to retract the listing but not fast to investigate.

So you're saying that you bought this item, yet it was not delivered to you (even though a tracking # was provided)?
Was it the same item?
When did you buy it?
How do you know it's the same seller?
Do you remember the name of the seller?

Thanks for the warning regardless, but many holes in your story.

Also, I've been monitoring CSI equipement on Ebay for a while now, and do not remember seeing this on auction (though it easily could have gone unoticed).

Rai,

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you.

Is this the unit that sold for around $4500 about 2-3 weeks ago?

To Vibex
I have the same serial # listed presently on eBay. I an not in the business of disturbing you know.I got burned but if you want go ahead and bid. I have complete documentation which I gave to the law Enforcement agencies. Time to time we all get into unseen traps. I just wanted to inform every body.
Thanks

I wonder how you can warn the guy who bid $3000 for this. It sells in about 4 hours.

I was following that as well.
If this was legit, the winner bidder got an increadible deal for this analyser.

Hope all worked out for the best.

I was looking to see if anyone had a copy of MasterTrend for sale, and this thread caught my eye.

There has been no feedback left by or for this item as far as I can work out. Hope this doesn't mean he got ripped off. Did anyone find out?

Check out E-bay. It looks like our mint condition 2120 might be back.

Same page, reloaded. Probably the winner of this item 'windgorge' can shed some light on the deal.

Rai,

I assume that you contacted E-Bay about your problem. Is there anything they can do to prevent this?

Thanks,

Danny

Yesterday I emailed (5 different messages)to the seller of 2120 about ownership, as well the deal from the previous listing. To my surprise there is no listing as of this morning. Let us wait and see when the next occurance happens. Thanks everybody for concerns, comments and input.

I reported the seller to e-Bay security last night as a likely fraudulent seller and the listing was removed from the site.

Dave,

Thanks for taking action. I hope you weren't caught up in this scam, too.

Where at E-Bay do you go to report such suspicions?

Never mind, I found it.

No involvement on my part, but have found e-Bay to be responsive in the past about dealing with fraud once they are alerted, so I gave them a shout. Just proves again that if it seems to good to be true, it generally is...
