I need an IRD B-50 balancing stand, or a near cousin to it. Definitely want a soft-bearing machine with a minimum 2000 lb. capacity, but would also consider a "hard bearing" machine if the price is right. Will pay cash, and come and get it.

Rusty - I looked at the B50 on Ebay - motor and belt drive seem to be customized and not IRD issue. Ask what else has been done to the machine that is non-factory. Also, you need to know what accessories come with the machine - belts, bearings, etc. The old IRD Model 260/265 instrument can be used for a fishing weight.

BTW, the IRD B-50 on Ebay was a scam. The listing didn't sound quite right, I got no response when I asked for more info, and the fixed price of $265 for shipment anywhere in the U.S. was not to be believed. I bid on it, but someone else won it. Of course, I would never buy something that expensive from someone I didn't know without using an escrow agent. As soon as the auction ended, I sent an email to the 'winner' warning them, but never got any reply from them either. Go figure.

Still looking for a balance stand.....
