How do you schedule a work order in SAP. eg
you have a number of operations in the Work Order and you want each operation to come out on a different day say op 10 on Monday, op 20 on Tuesday etc. Can anyone tell me how this is done.

Thanks, Mike

The easiest way to do so, is in the operation set the restriction to "must start" and the date for each operation.

Thanks Sask, that worked fine, I set up a variant to list W/O operations and set layout to show early start, all worked fine.

Thanks for the tip.

Another way would be to use relationships between the operations of 1 day. This has the benefit that when you reschedule the order, then operations shuffle along also. With the must start, you need to change the dates - with the relationships you don't need to change anything.

An easy interface will reduce the effort to schedule. Look at GWOS from www.prometheusgroup.us. SAP-PM solution.

Why wouldn't you just use the planning board, CM25. As you dispatch operations to specific days you want to do the task plus you can also view your resource work centre capacity and overload.
