Has anyone had experience with eMESA Live integration with SAP as a Scheduling tool? Was it beneficial to your organisation.

Not too familiar with eMesa. It's seperate from SAP, needs a server, expensive but I think interfaces OK once setup. Another option to consider is a solution from www.prometheusgroup.us. They have a graphical scheduling tool right in SAP-PM, no hardware required. Easy to use. Demo's available.

SAPPER -- I like the login name. I spent several years including a tour in Iraq as a US Army Sapper.

We have used eMESA for several years at our mine. It has worked very well for us. We spend a substantial amount less time training our people and keeping them proficient with eMESA. eMESA is fairly intuitive and getting better every day. We have been through a conversion of our business system (Ellipse to SAP back to Ellipse) and eMESA allowed the front line users to keep the same work environment even with the changes.

It is a very dynamic system allowing for a good deal of customization.

To Reg’s comment above you do not need your own server if you are on the live version and the cost is minimal to relieve the frustration of dealing with SAP or Ellipse for that matter.

I am very happy with the scheduling portion but eMESA is much more than just a scheduling program.
