SAP acquired Lighhammer a number of years ago and now offers xMII.

Can anyone explain how xMII works with PM/EAM? Is it interfacing plant floor data with the maintenance system?

The silence leads one to asume this is years into the future rather than a "today" application.

Oracle -not to be outdone by SAP in the manufacturing arena announced "Manufacturing Operations Hub" which seems like it does much the same for Oracle ERP customers.

Basically these systems deliver ERP data (item cost, released work orders, material requirements), they also deliver data from PLC's, SCADA and DCS plant floor systems all in one neat package (in theory).
