I am working at a chemical site. In a proejct we are modifyinf our maintenace strategy, by implementing more planned maintenance, and a better follow-up of the periodic maintenance plans. Key words are efficiency and effectiveness. Creating KPI's is not easy, but we do have our ideas and structure. is there someone who has experience with a kind of "magic tool" which delivers, once the (K)PI's are calculated an easy, when possible graphil way to drill down to the lower levels in case more analysis is needed. We would be very pleased to get some examples and experieces. Our System is, as you can conclude out of the postbox SAP.

You can do Pareto analysis among manufacturers for the same equipment. This is good for similar or identical equipment such as instruments. To identify bad performers or estimate mtbf.
Also ask your SAP PM analyst for further details.
Have you set up your PMIS?
