This is the one feature of maintenance notification but i never use it, now i would have to utilization our system (SAP) for maintenance process (work order system)
in Notification screen Edit->Actions->Simulation(determination) Panuphan Boonsirirat Lead Maintenance Planner PTT Aromatics and Refining Public Company Limited |

I use SAP R/3 4.6. I found it under Edit, Task, Simulation(Determination) at IW26 Create Notification and IW28 Change Notification. However the command is not executable (menu option is in gray), even after approve the notification, and after creating an order. I will get back to you if I discover what is necessary to be done before the command is accesible.
