I want to create an activity report (notification) for a piece of equipment which was installed at a location 2 years ago. This equipment has since moved to a different location. How do I get SAP to relate the activity report to the location the equipment was in two years ago and stop it reverting back to its current day location.
I have tried changing the activity report reference dates and notification dates but it still defaults the reference object information back to today's location. Any ideas? |

First why do you want to create a backdated notif? Did you entere the old functlocation?

Why?
To record in SAP the reason for failure of a pump. There is an order in SAP already for this failure but the history notification was note created at the time. Did I enter the old functional location number? The functional location still exists but there is a different pump (equipment) now installoed at that location. I wish to refer to the pump that was installed at that location back in Feb 2002. |

Before I used SAP for maintenance management, I use database to keep failure history, after 1997 my database can convert to SAP. please discuss with your IT or SAP admin.

I think is easier to document that failure at a new notification (with todays date) and explain at the description the the failure ocurred on X date in the past and it was corrected with order number 123. Then complete (NOCO) the notification.
