Hi
As a new user to SAP I'm not yet fully conversant with all its features. As such I'm struggling a little to find how to produce some basic reports, such as no of hours spent on planned maintenance vs no of hours spent on corrective work orders - no of hours spent on predictive maintenance and so on. Also I'm aware that the reports MCI1 to MCI8, MCJC & MCJB can offer some information, but firstly I can't get this to work on our system, and secondly I'm unsure of what to enter into each of the fields?

Any help with some screen shots or idiots guide would be great!!
Cheers

We are using SAP R/3 PM system.

You got to work closely with your SAP PM Analayst on this. Perhaps the reports are not set up yet and the manhours are probably not entered in the work orders by your craftmen.

Do you have definitions for the different SAP work order types eg PM01, PM02 etc and PM Activity types, which will enable you to report hrs worked on preventive work vs corrective work ?
We use PM01 exclusively for preventive maintenance work orders and PM02 for Corrective mtce orders
.You can also use PM Activity types to further differentiate Preventive mtce work ( PM01 )into sub categories such as predictive ( condition monitoring or fixed time replacement etc )

When you talk about planned work , what exactly do you want to look at Planned work vs unplanned work , need to know your definition of planned work before i can respond.

Cheers

Ensure that the PM Information System is being updated in your system.

MTBF reports rely on the Breakdown Indicator being selected in notifications. If you are not selecting this indicator then there is nothing to report.

To get more information on information system reports then see SAP Help documentation. Easiest way to get there is to call up the transaction and then press the F1 key from any of the selection fields. Then slect the Application Help icon (a book with a ? on the cover).
