We are currently implementing capacity planning for Maintenance Orders in the SAP PM module using the planning board. The only piece of the puzzle that is missing is the daily and weekly schedule report that shows each person's schedule. There is no process at this point to develop a custom report. Where in SAP can we find a standard report that will print out daily and weekly schedules by individual. Thanks!!

Try this:
1) List all orders under each MntPlGrp specifying the dates for daily or weekly.
2) Select all above orders
3) Goto Planning board with the right profile.

Recently SAP has introduce a new solution called Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS). This allows easy scheduling functionality that give over view of all the work load and available person for executing this workload.

It is also integrated with GIS and Mobile Asset Management.

It is avialble for R/3 enterprise release and above.

Hope this helps

The MRS solution was originally developed as a customer service tool. i.e. I have ten cable guys and I need to fill up their time by sending each person to different homes.

This does not fit most PM users idea of scheduling, where work order must be completed by a certain date and time, and the scheduler must assign people to complete the work.

It is a subtle difference.

Hello Josh, Tim

As this is too recent development, we have not implemented it in our systems. I have no real capture of screens from our live system.

I got some screen dumps during discussion with folks.. So use it as general guidelines.

I think Tim is correct in terms of Customer Service tool. In fact in R3, CS and PM are interlinked! This may require another topc why and how they are linked, But I think there are some good features of MRS that can help in Plant maintenance scenario.
It gives idea how much work has been assigned, how much is completed and how much still needs attention. It also take care of the tools that is a good advantage where tools either needs to be planned or arranged from vendors..

Regards
