Anyone raise modification work via CMMS?

Yes, we raise as plant change (PC) notif type but you have to control who should raise because modification works require approval as you know.

You can make a ruling only approved can be raised or PC notif can only be converted to a work order after approval by entering the PC no.

We do not limit who can create the notification, a Area Supervisor must approve the notification before the Maintenance Planner even look at it.

We have a work order type for modifications, during the planning phase we check all required authorizations from our MOPC (Management of Plant Changes) procedure are in place before releasing the order for execution.

We set up a User Status for the order to identify the job requires MOPC documentation / approval.
