Dear all,
Please briefly Explain me following problem. In Our 30MW power plant lube Oil Duplex filtter Outlet pressure showing higher pressure compare to inlet pressure.inlet & Outlet side two gauge's are mounting and our differential pressure tx showing in error.we are confirm this reading. But we are not satisfied this reading.theorically inlet pressure should be higher than Outlet. So Please explain me any mechanically or operation reason effect in outlet side Pressure. |

Even if your oil is bypassing the filter elements the outlet pressure should be slightly lower or about the same as the inlet pressure. I would investigate the guages first and then look at the indication points and tubing/piping. Perhaps the outlet is not in error but the inlet reading could be reading lower. Maybe there is a crimp (if tubing) or clog going to the inlet guage causing it to be restricted. If all this fails you could check to see if there might be some other source of pressure reaching the outlet guage. The most likely cause of a problem is usualy the simple one. Good Luck. |
