Seems overloading of the chiller , resulting in high thrust values which you presumed to be false.
Is the chiller driven by VFD ?Failure of the bearing has occurred first resulting in failure of the compressor due to rubbing or impacting inside the casing. But Why the thrust bearing failed?Any maintenance done on thrust bearing in near past? What type of thrust bearing is there?
