hi all
attached a photo of the removed sleeve bearing of our vertical hydro generator. 30" dia at thrust collar. please comment on the condition of the bearing.

I am wondering whether it is a babbitted bearing.

It is difficult to tell from the picture but it looks like there is some abrasive wear. It looks minor to me but a clearance check should tell if the amount is excessive.
