Was wondering if any of you have used this instrument and what your opinion of it was. I have an opportunity to buy one and wondered if it is a good "all around" instrument for general purpose thickness testing. Would appreciate your input.

After seeing your responses, I bought this unit for $2200 with a new factory-certified calibration. The ones I researched that looked similar were $3000 or more, so I think I came out OK. Thanks for your input!
