A good resource is the "Steam System Survey Guide" developed for the U.S. Dept. of Energy Best Practices Steam Program by Greg Harrell, Ph.D.,University of Tenn. Energy, Environment, and Resources Center. Go to section 6.0. Table 6. is Stema Leak Rates & Temps.
I'd like to hear from others about when to perform a steam trap survey.....
What is a good time to perform a leak survey? Does time of the year have a significant role on performing a survey?

Another good resource is the old Navy Facilities "MAINTENANCE OF Steam, Hot Water & Compressed Air DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS" NAVFAC MO-209. This pdf document has much about steam systems in general and a good section on trap inspection methods and documentation. You can download a copy from many places including... NAVFAC MP-209.

Matt,

I typed {steam trap monitor} into the search field at MSN.COM and got a lot of info. I found it usefull for my education to search for:
Steam trap Manufacturers (see different types and designs and how they work

Monitor and Test Instrument Manufacturers (see Exergen for temperature and SDT, CSI, and UE for ultrasound and TLV)

Maintenance & Technical Forums (test methods, etc.)
