What are you seeing or detecting when using your ultrasound instrument (UE, SDT, CTRL, AccuTrak) for bearing monitoring along spectral analysis software?
Are you identifying bearing defects (ball, cage, outer or inner race), are you seeing, alignment or balance problems, what are you finding.
This post is nothing more than to open a discussion as to what you the users are detecting.
But, what do "you" the "USER" detect with your instrument? What do you say? (Again, this question is meant to start a discussion among the ultrasound instrument users and to hear from them what they are detecting).
Thank you...

We know what the "vendors or manufacturers report," about what their instruments will detect.

Hi Jim,

Perhaps to get a better response from your question, you can remind the forum what exactly it is that the vendors or manufacturers report?

I removed the statement regarding what the manufacturers say...There was nothing sinister or any underlying trap question. Just would like to hear from the users what they experiencing from their use of the instruments (all ultrasound instruments) with spectra analysis software.
You wrote a great article recently in UPTIME (Feb/March) Ultrasound Testing as a CBM Pillar". We can see what you reported, in the article, again this is very good information.
But, my question was merely prompted from curiosity as to what the end-users are finding with the instruments.
This forum has had only a few questions, let alone any interesting inputs from the users, or readers of the forum that are not manufacturers or manufacturers reps. Its not to say that manufacturers or their reps haven't anything to say, but it would be nice to hear from the users themselves. I personally would like to hear from the users of all ultrasound techs no matter whose instrument they are using.
The forum has had such a dry spell...I would like to hear from the users again as to what they are finding and particularly what they are detecting or finding using their ultrasound instrument with any spectral analysis software (time waveform/FFT).
