I would like to offer my apologies to the maintenanceforums.com community for posts which did not follow the community standards of respect. I was involved in a dispute which included personal attacks on both sides. As it says at the top of the page, disagreement is welcome (we learn by exploring differences of opinion), but personal attacks take away from the forums and are not welcome. I look forward to leaving this episode behind and starting fresh on the forums. I pledge to keep my posts professional and avoid personal attacks.
I do think that maintenanceforums.com is by far the best place around to talk, share and learn about predictive maintenance. In my opinion, the reasons are: 1 – The very large group of participants from across the world, each bringing unique knowledge, education and experience 2 – The spirit of cooperation and respect among the forum members. Without both, we wouldn't have the great forums that we do today. This message has been edited. Last edited by: electricpete, |

Here, here Pete! Good show. I think we are all guilty to some degree or another and also share in your feeling as well as your humbleness.
This thread is different from face-to-face and seeing one's expressions and/or jestures that take some sharpness from the edge. To further complicate this; culture and language also play a part. I personally didn't see a great offense but on the other hand, I don't always see things as clearly as needed. We also have a 'slice of time' on such a board as my pay doesn't come from here - I actually have to work on a real job. I feel this is also a factor that lends to 'shortness' or misunderstanding. I could be wrong. I for one have enjoyed your postings and comments and think you made a good contribution. No doubt the whole issue got side-tracked but each of you have made good contributions in the past and hopefully in the future. Cordially, Sam Pickens pdmsampickens@gmail.com |

Pete,
Thank you for coming back to MaintenanceForums.com You are a huge contributor to the knowledge that is shared here and you should be honored that you were missed by many loyal forum members. We have all had times in our lives when we wish we would have made different choices - I think that what makes us better people is when we do something about our past choices. So again - thank you. What a great holiday gift for the entire community. Terry O |

Dear Pete,
Similarly in the past, I have strange encounters with people, sometimes our post are being misread in which they thought we know it all. I came here to share and to learn and never to compete with others most specially to those who have been in the ballgame longer. With you at around 2400 post and growing, you have seen quite a lot of the road . All I can say is that this forum is like a coffee shop or bar where after work, people like us come here and talk about common links, and seeing someone missing like "YOU" make us wonder and ask questions. What you did was very remarkable and a sign of maturity. Let us just keep the past behind and move on. Glad you are now here in this forum. My Warm Regards, |
