Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

Has anyone ever joined who was involved in the Marine Business of caring for Marine Equipment and Vessels:
1.)M&R of Marine Vessels
2.)Been involved with shipyards
3.)Been involved in building new vessels:
Tugs, Barges or Ships.
4.) As the Fleet Engineering Manager I was part of a Tasked Group to set up a computerized M&R system that would track Routine Request, Plan Major M&R, Schedule vessels into the shipyard, and working with the Regulators of the Marine Industries - such as the ABS & USCG

Bilge Rat,
As far as I know, Offshore Platforms and Floating Production Units are classified as marine facilities and regulated similarly.
Maintenance principles apply to inland facilities, aircraft or ships, so I am not sure why you are looking exclusively at the sub-set rather than the set.

The CMMS should be more or less the same regradless of marine vessels or whatever.

What are your concerns?

Will you need to track the maintenance history over the total lifecycle of the marine vessels? Will you only use one CMMS to track all types of M&R?

What are the requirements of the regulators?

Mr. Bilge Rat,

You may try the good folks at DMSI in Vancouver, their MAINTelligence software was originally designed for the Canadian Coast Guard. The President Mr. Ian Liddle is actually an old ship's engineer and very familiar with the marine industry.

Good luck,
