Provide engineering support during turnarounds by managing small projects in the assigned zone and maintaining/ordering critical spares or technical components. Provide detailed engineering support to maintenance so that all work is performed per the Inspection & Reliability QA/QC program and complies with all applicable codes and sound engineering judgment. (eg. relief valve sizing, piping and pressure vessel alterations, exchanger bundle replacements, valve replacements, etc..) Manage (focal point) and document all required Root Caused Analysis (RCA) on all identified critical failures and assist maintenance in developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program. Support the zone inspector in collecting data for justifying future recommendations and maintaining a 10 year fixed equipment capital plan. Keep all engineering associated with areas of responsibility up to date. Identify top reliability issues within the areas of responsibility and develop a detailed plan to address these issues. Attend outside functions to keep the Reliability & Inspection practices up to date with current technology. Perform alternate pressure relief system reviews and recommendations. Maintain an engineering database for all projects and keep it updated. Perform all MOC’s and Safety Operability Engineering Reviews (SOER’s) initiated by the PE & I group as well as making sure that the Reliability & Inspection Department is represented in these types of reviews initiated by other disciplines.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions. Working knowledge of ASME: B31.1, B31.3, Section 8 Div 2.
Working knowledge of API 570, API 510.
Computer literate and efficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Formal training in some method of Root Cause Failure Analysis.
