Maintenance Coordinator

Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, travel requirements)


· Accountable for establishing safe work practices and procedures in the Raw Mill.

· Identify root causes of housekeeping issues and implement solutions to correct.

· Coaches, counsels, and trains Raw Mill team members to ensure they are provided the opportunity to acquire skills required to meet challenging position requirements and further their individual career goals.

· Development of assigned personnel through coaching and training.

· Monitors and initiates action to address performance, attendance, and other disciplinary issues within the team.

· Leads team in all aspects of the business in accordance with plant and company values.

· Ensure assigned area is in environmental compliance and that our ISO goals and processes are realized.

· Responsible for planning, co-ordination, execution and follow up of maintenance activities within assigned area.

· Provide technical insight and support to team to ensure area/site KPI´s are achieved.

· Participate & ability if needed to chair daily / weekly maintenance planning meetings.

· Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback to individuals.

· Supervise 3rd party services, coordinate contractor activities and execute Holcim contractor safety policy.

· Management of hourly employee timesheets and time entry.

· Management of work order and notifications for assigned area.

· Accountable for planning key performance indicators and development of weekly & annual outage maintenance plans.

· Coordinate continuous communication of maintenance activities with all teams and areas within the plant.

· Coordinates the efficient utilization of equipment and personnel during assigned shift to ensure attainment of process team goals.

· Establish support network with O.E.M.´s, vendors and Holcim trainers and experts to help troubleshoot and solve technical problems related to equipment operation in assigned area.



Educational Criteria:



· B.S. degree in engineering preferred

· Set high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-impose standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.



Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred:



· 3-5 years experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferred

· 2-5 years of practical maintenance experience with lead role or supervision responsibility

· Strong mechanical aptitude and or field experience desired

· Knowledge of basic problem solving tools

· Knowledge of SAP beneficial

· Knowledge of and experience in cement manufacturing process preferred

· Proficient with computer skills

· Knowledge of MAC system, tools, techniques, practices desired.
