Florida Power and Light is actively recruiting for a Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Engineer for our nuclear facility in Seabrook, NH (Seabrook Station).
Job Description: Responsible for advanced engineering tasks. Minimum of 3 years as an Engineer I. Works independently with broad supervisory review and has a wide latitude to exercise decision making and judgment. Independently performs highly complex engineering tasks that require knowledge and experience with nuclear industry standards and regulations. Can effectively communicate and perform the lead role in a group situation to resolve problems or coordinate design production. PE preferred, substitute for BS CBM Engineer knowledgeable in IR, Vibration, Lube Oil Analysis, and to assist in Diesel Generator Engine Monitoring. Duties include taking part in the data collection, data analysis, troubleshooting, program revision and system health report development. May be assigned to an ERO position. Position Requires: Bachelor's - Engineering; Any CBM (Infrared, Vibration , Lube Oil Analysis, or other task specific training.) Schedule flexibility as plant conditions warrant. Work Schedule: 0700 to 1630 (9-80 schedule with alternating every other Friday off). Overtime and call-in assignments may be required to support emergent work, plant outages and other plant conditions/evolutions. Qualifications: Project / team leadership - Competent; Plant Specs & Design Eval & Analysis - Basic; Power Plant Design - Nuclear - Advanced; Master's - Engineering; Planning & Scheduling - Competent; Effective Written Communications - Advanced; Quality Tools & Techniques - Advanced; Decision Making - Competent; Analytical Problem Solving - Expert; Technical Degree; Technical knowledge in CBM areas; Communication skills; working in Team environment; Troubleshooting skills for diagnostic evaluations.
