On behalf of our client, we are presently recruiting for a Plant Engineer to join their team. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in project management with the ability to multi-task with the goal of completing many projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and manage project plans, operations, budgets and schedules
* Provide engineering support for the operations group
* Assist senior management in developing and justifying capital expenditure requests
* Investigate practical, cost-effective and innovative plant improvement solutions
* Utilize and incorporate Six-Sigma and other project management tools, methodology and principles
* Negotiate contracts and supervise equipment vendors, service providers and contractors
* Actively participate in Company initiatives; Innovation, Share groups, MyMLF, Energy and Efficiency

Requirements:
* 5 years experience as an Engineer or Mechanical/Electrical Technologist, or 10+ years of equivalent project experience
* Proven track record of handling multiple projects
* Working knowledge of industry codes and regulations – OH&S, WHMIS, HACCP
* Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational, analytical and planning abilities combined with practical business sense
* Advanced skills with MS Office and Project Management software
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Knowledge and experience with Food industry would be an asset
