POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Maintenance Manager

LOCATION: MEMPHIS, TN
SALARY Range: $80-$90k plus bonus/incentive ($6 figure compensation)

SPECIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering/maintenance related field, or equivalent years of experience.

Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Director

SUPERVISES: Maintenance Supervisor and all Maintenance personnel (12-15)

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for elevating the capabilities of a traditional, breakdown focused maintenance organization to a proactive, lean, preventative and service oriented organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides prioritization, direction, and support of maintenance team leaders and technicians performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Reports on effectiveness of maintenance resource utilization based on cost vs. budget, uptime, reactive vs. preventative maintenance, etc.
• Responsible for hiring, managing, and developing a competent maintenance workforce.
• Manages 8-10 skilled maintenance personnel.
• Provides leadership and support of lean manufacturing initiatives to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
• Interfaces directly with vendor technical support groups as necessary in the course of providing maintenance and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Responsible for facility maintenance: HVAC, electrical distribution, etc.
• Manage CMMS maintenance system for maximizing production uptime.
• Select, purchase and manage inventory of all necessary maintenance parts and supplies – both expense and capital.
• Work with facility manager to develop budgets.
• Member of the facility safety committee.
• Implements process enhancements in order to increase equipment uptime, improve product quality, and reduce facility costs.
• Equipment and process troubleshooting and problem solving experience.
• Collaborates with corporate engineering on capital projects (design and implementation, budget preparation) and process improvement projects.
• Collaborates with other facilities on best practices.

• Mechanical/Electrical experience maintaining production equipment in a continuous production environment.
• Industrial Electrical Writing, Mechanical/Electrical Devices, Circuits, Robotics, PLC and computer controlled experience preferred.
• Demonstrated Experience in Structure of a Maintenance Organization with implementation of Maintenance Planning tools. Desirable to have experience with computer driven maintenance and planning software.
• Demonstrated experience in an ISO or documented environment.
• Demonstrated hiring, development and training of maintenance personnel.
• Experience with performance management maintenance metrics for Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
