ASSET MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN II: $5,399 - $6,707* For complete details, please view the attachment or visit our website at www.lacsd.org LOCATION: There are currently two vacancies, one at each of the following locations: Compton Field Office - Compton Joint Water Pollution Control Plant (JWPCP) - Carson Note: These are full-time, monthly status jobs. *Initial placement will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform a variety of technical duties related to the administration of the computerized Oracle Work and Asset Management system. JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of a Superintendent, Supervising Engineer or higher level classification, the incumbent serves as the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) database administrator for an assigned department or section; provides the first line of internal support to system users including problem resolution, standards enforcement and security administration; implements global and local changes to the system based on operational needs; creates, modifies, updates, implements, and maintains asset records, tables, numbers, information screens, codes and descriptions; coordinates system updates and enhancements; sets policy configuration and use for an assigned department or section; aids other departments and/or sections in implementation and configuration needs; recommends system enhancements; supports maintenance and operations staff with EAM related work management, preventative maintenance scheduling, task grouping, work requests, and work order processing; configures EAM modules applicable to the assigned department or section including setting up assets and procedures; develops and prepares reports, spreadsheets and queries; creates specialty and automated reports; establishes and updates related business practices for the assigned department or section; troubleshoots the database and reporting functions; ensures that the department or section’s hardware and software needs are met; administers login access including setting up new employees, modifying access levels, and password administration; trains new users and conducts ongoing training as needed; participates in various related committees; and performs other duties as required.
