Hello all (& Terry),
I am looking for a "master schedule" or listing of the upcoming webinars. I receive the advance emails, but they usually come a week or so before the scheduled date. I arranged Jack Nicholas' series for my company last year and will this year. One of constraints I have is that my company blocks gotomeeting.com as it is a "security risk". We worked around this by installing a separate secured cable modem internet access in one of our conference rooms. Unfortunately if this conference room is already booked up, we have to wait and do a replay of the webinar. I wrote all the dates down for 2009's series that Jack mentioned in part 1 on 1/9/09 and was able to book our room for the rest of the year but I see there are lots of other webinars in the works for 2009 but can't find much (any) info on them.

As a for instance, I see in the webinar email that there is a series on IR starting this Friday and going for 23 weeks. Where do I find a schedule for this and more information on what is going to be covered? I am considering having some of our floor techs attend, but I need some more information to present to management to justify their attendance, and of course, I need to know the webinar schedule. I may have missed this information somewhere on the reliabilityweb.com website, but I've looked and looked and came up empty. The calendar link to mro-zone did not appear to up to date.

Is there a discussion group or "steering committee" on the webinars that we might be able to provide some long term input to?

The webinars have been a great educational tool for us but it seems like we could benefit from more short and long term information on what topics are coming so we can decide who in our organization would benefit and then be able to setup our own schedule to facilitate the webinars.

Thanks,
Lou Bloechl

Thanks Lou

1) I love the idea of a web workshop steering group! I will follow up with you on that idea off forum.

2) Your points are well taken and we have even anticipated some of them.

We are in the middle of a pretty significant technology implementation (do not worry - forums will be mainly untouched) that is 30 days behind schedule (I feel for anyone who has implemented a CMMS/EAM). The new system was supposed to handle the calendar for us but it looks like I will need to do something more manual in the interim.

Again - thanks for the points and suggestions. I am going to have our entire team read them as well.

I will be back to you on the steering group idea.

Excellent, this is fantastic information! More information than I expected.

It will really help us in planning this year.
I know we will have a big interest here in Steve Thomas' series.

These look interesting... and free!

Thanks for making these available.

Somehow I missed this on my email (I'm sure it was there, but somehow didn't get onto my radar screen). I would have liked to have seen the motor failure analysis presentation last Friday.

May I suggest you post a brief announcement on the lub and thermography bulletin boards. (and any others you think are appropriate).

Pete,

Thanks for your comments.

We are also implementing a new (and improved) email system and there has been a few hiccups as we transition. Maybe that is how you missed the announcement.

You can visit the 2009 schedule page and click the link for any PAST web workshop and access the recorded version.

I think you would enjoy the Motor Case Study. I know I did. I will be interested in a new discussion at the Motor Testing forum if you get a chance to view the web workshop.

I am hesitant to post notices about these workshops in the forum even though these are FREE web workshops as it would seem promotional.

We will have our web sites and emails firing on all cylinders pretty soon and I do not think you will miss future event notices.

Thanks again Pete.
