I have started this thread to provide a forum for people to let Terry O know if they want more info on MRO Inventory Reduction at his conferences.

If you don't give feedback Terry won't know what to provide so don't just sit there, write something!

Just post a message and I am sure Terry will read them.

Yes boss Cool
A suggestion, what about a quiz?

Looking at the discussions in the MRO inventory thread, it is an animated area Wink

Good on ya Phillip!

We have hosted excellent MRO workshops by Phill and also by Eugene Moncrief and we have simply not garnered much attendance.

Granted we are positioning these up against Planning workshops, KPI workshops, Benchmarking workshops, RCM Workshops and Asset Management workshops - so that could have also had an effect.

I agree with Phillip - please post your feedback because right now - we are not planning much conference content around MRO (and I think Slater wants to come to Hawaii for EAM-2007 and RCM-2007)

My personal view is that most companies stand to find a lot of wasted dollars in poor spares and MRO management. Possibly enough to pay for all the maintenance and reliability improvements you wish to make!

Ok for those wanting a quiz try this.

Go to this website http://www.initiateaction.com/ICR_eLearning.htm

This is the page for my e-learning program. Towards the bottom of the page you will see that the first lesson is free! Sign up for this lesson (no credit card required - see it really is free).

Download the workbook and listen to the audio file. The last page in the workbook contains a 14 question quiz about inventory. (Each weekly lesson also contains a quiz.)

Keep the lesson and quiz with my compliments.

OK, that is two responses.
At the time of writing this thread has been viewed more than 60 times and the MRO thread has been viewed more than 700 times. That's plenty of people 'having a look' but not replying.

So, if you are interested enough to read why not let us know your thoughts by joining in? It is quick and easy and you may be surprised by how much you can get out of it! Wink

At least we have some documentation circulating with definitions

Steven,

I am interested in whether you had any further feedback on the inventory material shared in your organization. Has anything happened after step 1?

In particular I am chasing any constructive feedback on the content. All feedback is gratefully accepted!
