Hello everybody,

As you know, the efficiency of the production departments can be easily measured depending on the number of the produced goods and can be denoted with numerical values. Since our process as maintenance departments is a random process and the outputs are not directly related with the product, we have not got such kind of paremeters or systems to determine the effciency of a maintanence stuff.
Do you know/have a method/paremeter that we can measure the efficiency of a maintanence stuff? If yes, could you please send an detailed Info about the method and paremeters?

There has been a great deal written about measuring the effectiveness of maintenance and your questions is a very BIG one so I suggest that you do some reading then ask some more specific questions about what metrics may work for you.

I suggest you use the word performance of maintenance dept instead of efficiency to be more generic.
