Dear Panuphan,
We present reports to management consisting of narrative part and summary details part (i.e., supporting data tables & charts). For the 2nd part, find attached two sample reports we use (I got this from concerned subject-matter-experts): -Cost Report for VP, who reviews it with Department/Group Managers on quaterly basis -Work Order Statistics Report for Department/Group Managers, who review with thier Unit/Section Heads and/or Division Managers on monthly basis Note: I am facing problem for adding attachment. Will try again later This message has been edited. Last edited by: ganesh, v.j, |

Ganesh,
These are interesting. If I may suggest some thoughts for your consideration: 1. The outputs from maintenance work are worth highlighting. These include e.g. Availability measures, Reliability measures. 2. A set a leading indicators to show what we can expect in future (Backlog is interesting but Compliance is better!). 3. Significant changes in systems, organisation, training etc. that can improve future performance. Dear Vee,
We had two problems of with regard to maintenance performance indicators (PI)and key performance indicators (KPI): 1. Arriving at a consensus for maintenance PI/KPIs - leading or lagging. This is not only for the selection of particular maintenance PI/KPI but also its definition, formula to be used, frequency of report generation, etc. We made a research of maintenance PI/KPI used internationally (by IVARA, SMRP, SAP, etc.) but consensus was a problem. I am attaching one such KPI for your information where some consensus was reached. 2. How to practically enter the relevant input data in CMMS/ERP/Other systems accurately so that the system can calculate the PI/KPI. This does not mean we are not monitoring/reporting availability data at all. We are doing at the 'unit' level (generating unit or desalination unit) not at 'system' or 'equipment' level and classify these as 'operational' PI/KPI. May be you can help.
