Our plant, maintenance dept. are maintenance budget owner when equipment need repair, maintenance fix and maintenance pay it. Anybody has suggest the new method?

Not a good situation to be in. The result is usually that production will deny availability of equipment for maintenance until the equipment fails. Then they will be able to write off poor capacity to maintenance issues. Great for reduced stress on production managers, but not good for the future and profitability of the company as a whole.

I have recently put together a few papers based on planning and scheduling that may help you out. The fourth paper is based upon the budgeting process using the first three, and it is in development right now.
