We have one 25 mW Siemens make STG set and we are facing the problem of front side thrust bearing temp going high to the trip value. This happens when load goes beyond 21 MW. The axial shift is indicating -0.03mm and i am unable to understand the reason of rotor moving negative side. Whether the problem is related to extraction flow condition or else any thing other than this.
Kindly let me know the possible reasons of rotor moving negative side.

There is one RTD connected with duplex type and in both channels the temp is same, my question is why rotor moves to anactive side and the thrust pad temp rising with inlet steam presuure reduces and come back to normal when pressure is rised back. Presently we are operating on higher steam pressure than the designed pressure.
