At present I am completing a GD in Maintenance Management at CQU in Australia.

I have been trying to find some information on the following that I can reference in my project.

Could you review the following questions and through your network offer some information as to where I may find something.

1) Importance of assigning roles and responsibilities to planners.

2) Benefits of good communication in a working relationship.

3) Benefits of establishing effective planning.

To me these are very basic processes to have in any maintenance department but I need to quantify it by external research.

Any assistant is appreciated.

Thanks

1) Importance of assigning roles and responsibilities to planners.

The mark of a good manager is the ability to delegate responsibility!

A.) customer product schedule/delivery - operational planning in conjunction with maintenance planners is a must so you can plan maintenance in the window of 'end of batch' or between batches. There is some difference between batch and continuous operation.

2) Benefits of good communication in a working relationship.

A.) without communications you don't have a working relationship!

3) Benefits of establishing effective planning.

A.) Parts on-hand when needed.
B.) Maximum uptime.
C.) least amount of product loss.
D.) Increased delivery time for customer satisfaction.
E.) Shortest maintenance turn-around time.
F.) Cheapest maintenance cost.
G.) Maximum ROI

To name some of KPI's.

Cordially,
Sam
