Ansari from Sharjah UAE. Working as CNC and PLC machines Engineer.

Question:
Sir, I m using an Alternator Rating 800KW, 400VAC.
Actually problem is voltage output is not constant. I feel problem could be with AVR. But I don't know how to confirm whether my AVR is faulty.
Can u help me to troubleshoot this problem.
Guide me how to confirm whether AVR is faulty or some other problem is causing output voltage to vary.
Eagerly Waiting for answer.

Choices:
AVR Problem
Prime mover speed problem

Can you substitute the AVR for another one that you know is good? In the information for the AVR card it should tell you which potentiometer to adjust to smooth the voltage output, if you need info then I have found it usefull to type the make and model number in to a search engine.
Ben.
