Hi all...
I know this may sound silly but i have been trying to find the option to change microns to mm in my Machinery Health Analyser software. Any help?

Are you changing from microns pp to mm pp, or microns pp to mm/sec 0-pk or rms??

Typically displacment is expressed in microns pp

Velocity in mm/sec 0-pk or mm/sec rms

Axial position in mm.

I have actually taken an axial displacement probe with microns(settings are similar to other radial probes). So i wanna get this changed to mm in the Machinery Health Software.

I don't think you can.

The metic default for displacement is microns (1/1000 of a mm).
The english default is mils (1/1000 of an inch: here in the Antipodes, we call this a "thou")

To convert to mm, just move the decimal point 3 places to the left.

Yeah thanks for the input...I am also aware of that...it's just that sometimes, it's kinda hard to view everything in mm when the readings that i get is in microns...Haha...

That is the setup you want. Radial shaft displacement in microns pp and shaft axial position in mm.

Hi Steve,
Yeah that's what i meant... I wanted my reading to appear in microns for radial readings and mm for axial readings on the machinery health analyzer software.
