I received this e-mail from Tehami Lad (tehamilad at yahoo dot com):
"Hello my friend ,how are you, can you help me?
I’m vibration technician and my English is not good .i have to write a report about any machine that had been checked by me. So could you please edit and correct or change the below report

(((((Vibration data has been taken today on the subject machine. All vibration levels were acceptable. The vibration levels were .25 at the inboard vertical and .23 at the inboard horizontal and .15 at the outboard vertical and .16 at the outboard horizontal))))))))

thank you for your help."

I have never heard of this person before, so I am hesitant to respond. Has any one received same/similar e-mail or know of this person as legitimate?

Walt, I received the same email a day or two ago. I deleted it. I'm also seeing more junk mail sent to 'lawrencep' at my IVC email. I guess that's what I get for putting my email in my signature.

I just looked up tehamilad in the member directory. He registered back in September 04. That's before this board acquired the old board. Maybe it's legit after all.

I, too, got this email. I have never recieved anything from this person prior; so, I deleted the email. One can't be too careful these days.

Besides, why would anyone want advice from someone they don't have references. There was little information. This looks like a consulting job for a consultant. I don't work for myself with insurance, and I do not care for any extra liabilities -- all risk no upside.

I deleted the e-mail. If the person who sent it is reading this, then please direct your questions to this Bulletin Board. I would be glad to respond (already have) off the Board to people who fully identify themselves.
