We've discussed this before (and I have a paper on it somewhere I think), but can someone give me the 'normal' bearing number for a 65BC03J30 ??
Better yet, if you have a link to an on-line resource somewhere that explains the deciphering of such numbers (or if you can email me a PDF file, that'd be great too)..... Regards, Rusty |

The link provides all the info you need.
Just to go through your example quickly AFMBA number 65BC03 J30 corresponds to catalog number 6313 C3 The 65 in the AFBMA number tells us bore 65mm. The last two digits of the catalog number are bore in mm divided by 5 i.e. 65 / 5 = 13 The BC in the AFBMA tells us conrad deep groove. The first digit 6 in catalog number corresponds to conrad deep groove bearing. The 03 in AFBMAnumbers tells us dimension series 3. This is the same info convered by second digit of catalog number is 3 J tells us stell cage. Not generally in the simple catalog number. 3 tells us C3 clearance looser than normal. Same thing as the trailing C3 in the catalogue number. The 0 tells us tolerance class 0. Not usually in the simple catalog number. |

The way I was taught to decipher this bearing:
BC = 6000 series bearing 03 = 6300 65/5 = 13 The bearing is a 6313 bearing. Jon, N6VC/5 n6vc@yahoo.com |
