I have been reading about taking current data in some of the recent post on this board and would like to learn more about this data collection. I take my vibration data with a 2120a and would like to know what is needed with the analyzer (clamp-on?)to take current data. Also any information on the set-up/procedure would be appreciated.
Thanks and have a great day, Scott |

Hi Scott,
You will need the CSI model 341C current clamp. Setup is a follows: 80Hz f-max, 3200 LOR, 4 avgs, normal avg mode, hanning window, and sensor set to current transformer. You may also need the motor trend program for RBMware, not sure on this. When looking at the datayou will look for line freq. and side bands at motor poles times slip freq. Amplitude differences of 40 to 45 Db singnify possible high resistance 40> signify possibility of at l;east one broken bar. Hope this helps, Roy Gariepy Maintenance Tech Cross Generating Station Cross, SC |
