Let's discuss the Condition Monitoring of rock crushers. The equipment comprises of
1) Jaw crushers
2) Vibro feeder ( Photo attached)
3) Vibratory Screen

What are the paremeters to be monitored?
Velocity, Acceleration, Displacement, Demodulation,crest factor which will be apt to trend ?
Any prescribed standards for monitoring / Which Class of ISO 10816 is applicable?

For measuring the support frame vibration ( Structural) is there any different standard.

I have some past experience with vibro feeder. It is probably best to take a low frequency reading to get overall vibration for balancing the amplitude between the 2 motors. Then you can use a velocity or accelration reading with the low frequency cutoff set above the run speed of the motor. Peakvue works great when looking for bearing faults. I would imagine that demod would be helpful also.
I would also look over the structure good with a strobelight while acquiring data. I found this to be the best way to find cracks and damage to the structure.
Don't h ave time to repsond to the crusher part.. That is a beast in itself.

Jaw: We just stop the feed during the test and check the motor, support bearings and pitman arm bearing. A "standard" setup on the motor and bearings. We have seen looseness at the pitman occasionally - usually tracked to the lower end of the arm.

Screen: Standard setup on the motor, and like Vibeguy said: You might set the low cutoff above turn speed, doesn't matter much but does make it easier to look at. And peakvue, peakvue peakvue... If you have a dual channel meter there are things you can do with orbits at the supports (similar to screen throw diagrams).
